Delicious and Jordanian

Standard
Jordanian traditional Mansaf

Jordanian traditional Mansaf

When in Jordanian you say “zaki” you refer to something good, delicious to eat. In this case Mansaf the traditional Jordanian dish is the delicious one! Eating mansaf is an experience of taste, usually made with lamb in sauce of dried yoghurt and rice and garnished with roasted almonds and pine nuts. Mansaf is cooked particularly during celebrations but in my case Sana made her best dish ever to welcome us!

In every celebrations you should never miss a knafeh, a delicious pastry soaked in sweet syrup and topped with pistachios and made with soft cheese. I tasted in different occasions, during Ramadan or for celebrating a marriage or a party. Just delicious!!!

Mount Nebo – جبل نبو

Standard

Visiting Jordan is a combination of history and nature, Roman and Hellenic, religious and ancient. I was so lucky in crossing all Jordan and visiting key places of the Holy Land: one of this treasure is Mount Nebo. It was spring time and all around the fragrances of flowers and green bushes. All around me was a flourishing land, perfect season for my Jordanian trip!

Look around in Mount Nebo (817 m.) you can see the Brazen serpent statue facing the Jordanian hills, the beautiful mosaics that will enchant you and the holy atmosphere…

Ancient Umm Qais

Standard

I still remember my last journey in Umm Qais, Jordan. The warm lights of the sunset of an intense red, the light wind touch and the ancient atmosphere that only in Jordan I ever experienced. All around me inspire greatness of old times, present and past here in the North of Jordan meet harmoniously. Hellenic and Roman are present at this archaeological site and represent the cycle of time and the interchanges of civilizations and different cultures. I love this place and I use to visit everytime I come to Jordan 🙂
